Bubblegum Complex - The Big Album out now on RFYC Records!

This is a tragic time. Caldwell, Almighty Dave Dawson, Andy, and Erin will not be seen on stage anymore. Tis true, the Bubblegum Complex is no more. Their last show was played at The 5 Spot in east Nashville with Magnet School and Carter Administration opening. Extremely limited quantities (read 30) of handmade albums and screened t-shirts were on sale. If you weren't there, you might be lucky to snatch up the final records if you act quickly. The band has agreed to release the record online, as to get the music out to those that truly care about the band - near and afar. Download the record which is available in both mp3 and m4a, load it onto your iPods, and tell your friends...

The mixtape summer...

The Summer of 2007 has been one of the most promising quarters for music on the Fowey front and there have been a lot of signings. We hired a new web-manager and changed the site around a lot. Killed a couple people we didn't like. Um. We are starting to secure content so that we can bring the listener the best experience possible and get the labor of all the artists to the shelves. This is the part of listening to music that audiophiles love to pull out their inflatable wading pools and fill with KY and chocolate pudding and roll around in. This also may be the part that every non-tech-head pulls out their life-ending blood-splattering Looney-Tunes hyphen-ated wooden mallet and smashes their head into a non-descript pulp. Maybe you are just glad that their Fisher Price plasic turntable still kinda works. You tell yourself it doesn't matter that there is no bass or kick in the Drum and Bass tracks they are listening to. If this is what you feel like, know that you just fucked up all your records and they will wear out early. Lets fix this and maybe you can listen to your precious Nigel albums for 6 extra months.

Doing the offerings

What to expect in the future from Fowey artists and who you may see in the future from your favorite label in the whole wide bloody woooooorld! Thats right, playaz. We know you want the scoop. Here it is already. Damn. Settle down.

Sad Sad Pandas

Though we are sad to have to announce this, the Wild West Stenographer MCs are leaving RFYC Records to pursue a career in, yes, advertising. Most of their fans were into them for their outragous album art and booklets accompanying their 15-minute cassette releases. Whatever the case, it worked. Well..
